In Too Deep Reviews
Wow! What a great addition to the series. I had high exceptions for this story after loving book #1 and it definitely lived up to it.
There’s so much action in this book which I loved. Sabrina, the main character, had to visit the hospital twice within 12 hours because of multiple attacks that were made on her. This book is definitely fast paced. ;) The mystery side of things was intriguing with the case of human trafficking. I absolutely love how everything fell into place towards the end and h ...more
You know that moment when you reach the end of a really good book and you have the sudden urge to charge up the highest mountaintop with a megaphone in hand so you can holler out a proclamation of epic proportion about a not-to-be-missed book? Because you just can't stand the thought of somebody missing out because they might not know about it? Well, that's me right now over In Too Deep.
Serious reader nirvana magic. Especially if you are a romantic suspense lover! And if you favour quirky heroi ...more
"Wow. This woman was actually helping them solve her murder from beyond the grave."
"They killed me. Ask Adam Campbell." Chilling words self-written on the abdomen of a drowning victim. What did they mean exactly, and why had Lisa Palmer, a prominent local accountant, tried to contact Investigator Adam Campbell just days before her demise?
When the deceased's laptop is brought to the surface of the river where she allegedly drowned, the Carrington County Sheriff's Department turns to loc ...more
In Too Deep is a great addition to the Dive Team Investigations series that takes place in Carrington, North Carolina. The story starts off with the dive team called to recover a car that had gone off the double bridges over Lake Porter. The victim in the car had already been recovered by a good Samaritan trying to rescue her but it was too late. It appears to be a suicide until a message on the victim's stomach addressed to team member, Adam Campbell, is noticed. In the car, a laptop, is found ...more
This is one of those books that "wows" right from the start. Characters fully developed and great interaction between characters enable them to move flawlessly through the story line.
The chemistry between the male and female protagonists is strong and sweet. This is a clean, squeaky clean, read but it still has those moments of heart enveloping romance. Again, squeaky clean.
The mystery or suspense that is discovered by the team of investigators becomes more and more convoluted as they discover b ...more
Awesome suspense with a great plot, characters and writing. Loved this book. I received an advance copy of this and this is my unbiased review .
I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic suspense. It contains a good balance of character development, police procedure, and romance.
The plot of this novel centers on human trafficking. I was a bit surprised that it was labor trafficking rather than sex trafficking. I can see how those coming from terrible situations can be tricked into a type of slave labor, even legal immigrants.
I like Adam and his law enforcement coworkers. It was good to see how they are loyal to each other and always ready to he ...more
Fans of the first Dive Team Investigations will be thrilled with this new installment. Adam and Sabrina’s story is so much better than I expected and I loved every single minute I got to spend with them.
After a car is found submerged in a lake the dive team is called in to recover the body. What they find is more than any of them expected: an encrypted laptop and a message linking the dead accountant and investigator Adam Campbell. Adam calls in his friend, Dr. Sabrina Fleming, a computer securi ...more
